We enjoyed a lovely New Year's dinner with a fantastic set menu that was both delicious and well-priced, and we were lucky enough to meet the lovely owners who made us feel so welcome. The garden area was perfect for relaxing, and we also loved the cozy courtyard for sipping drinks. Just a heads up, there were some noisy kids in the bar that made it hard to unwind, but it didn't ruin our stay overall. 🎉

Good for a couple of nights. Fairly clean, traditional hotel with perfect and nice location for the rail station. Excellent friendly and affable property employees in a pleasant manner. Location close to the beautiful conservatory, the restaurant on special occasions, and the railway line.

The Carre Arms Hotel had a warm, friendly atmosphere. The staff welcomed me with a smile, and, made a great first impression. My room was clean and cozy, complete with tea and coffee facilities. I appreciated the nice biscuits in the room too. It reminded me of a special touch. Enjoyed the delicious breakfast, especially the poached eggs on toast, cooked perfectly. The external lights outside my window disturbed my sleep. I hoped they'd turn off when the bar closed, but they didn't. It reminded me of daylight shining through the curtains all night. The noise from the nearby railway was also noticeable, especially during the night. Despite these issues, the ambiance and well-presented meals were good.

The carre arms hotel & restaurant has a lovely atrium cafe area that feels nostalgic yet is well kept. My small double room was bright and clean, with tea and coffee facilities along with delicious biscuits. The restaurant's food was fantastic, especially the poached eggs and the delicious pork belly dish. It's also right next to the railway, perfect for exploring.

Had a good time enjoying the vibrant and friendly atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and accommodating, though the bathroom could use some updating, which was minor compared to the quality of food and service. A pleasant experience worth returning to.

Cozy stay with great food!
We had a king size room with loads of space, and the bed was super comfy. Connor at the bar was a legend! He served us some fab drinks and was really friendly. The food in the restaurant was delish, especially the pork fillet. Just wish the train noise wasn't there, but it didn't ruin our vibe.
